I love him because he has such funny lines but is so sweet too. The just wanting a house and family bit in Amy's Choice and the waiting 2000 years really got me. Lovely Rory!

The piece where he 'died' in Amy's Choice really melted my heart!
I loved Rory anyway from the first episode, but in that bit I really connected with the character. I was gutted when he was taken into the crack in the later episode, like, really REALLY gutted, but I just had a feeling that he would be back. Amy without Rory could have just never have happened. She would have had no-one back in sleepy Leadworth for her to return to anyway, which would have been a major fall for future plotlines too.
I know Amy is confirmed for the next series, but is Rory? I hope so!

I just loved how in Amy's Choice he played cutting Rory's ponytail off with sincere serious dramatic straightness that made it even more funny. I'm glad Moffatt didn't write him the way of the usual third wheel boyfriend. This time he's a very integral and necessary character for Amy and the Doctor to each play off of. The show really can't go on without him.

Maybe it will happen someday. I said maybe. But I enjoy Rory too.
